The words haven't been flowing lately and I feel quite guilty about that.

Easter is always a busy period for us as both Andrew and I share birthdays within weeks of each other. It stuns me how old we're getting. And we're not even that 'old'.

Autumn has been met with relief this year as we settle into our new place. A trap for heat and light, we're still in shorts and singlets at home and long for warmer, cosier fabrics. We enjoy the house though and have contemplated purchasing its identical twin next door next year when it'll go for sale. I'm eager to get out of the renter's market. Our neighbours know of our interest so we'll see how things eventuate. Although Canada still remains very strongly in our plans, I think it's also wise to leverage opportunities here.

Anyhow, this year is shooting past in a blaze of activity and new ideas. Kristian's been hard at work with his 9-5 job and his own business and work is pouring through the doors for Sam and me. It's exciting and satisfying stuff and I really enjoy all of our clients to date. So lucky!

As many of you know, Hugo is walking, running and talking and has developed such a strong will that challenges us with any and every means possbile. Of course, this brings joy to my mother who recaps on the grief I gave her as a "cheeky" child. I'm sure you're the same too Mom with Kristian! Probably moreso as Hugo really is the clone son of his father.

Soo, I'm starting to get clucky again ('clucky' is Aussie slang for a woman who's filled with maternal desire for a child), especially since Hugo will be one and a half soon. Sometimes I examine our already busy busy lives and wonder how another will fit in, but I also know that life will always be hectic.

There are so many things we seem to want right now. Kristian and I spend most of our quiet moments contemplating our next move, tossing up ideas only for them to fall back down when we shed light on others. We have Hugo, our families, our respective businesses, desire to move to Canada but still have a place here, that 'm' word everyone is bating their breaths for, and plans for another baby.

I know it'll all fall into place, especially as we're so lucky to have supportive family and friends in our lives.

Although the issue is no laughing matter, Kristian and I chuckled and shook our heads when we read this in some of the international coverage:

"Keep your kids away from flooded drains, be aware of snakes and crocodiles. Those guys will have had a bad night, too." (BBC)

It's Australia so I guess you can't forget about the snakes and crocs....
