Hugo hands us hundreds of heart attacks a day by climbing, rolling, eating, grabbing, flicking, kicking and banging anything he can find

There's of one of his many cheeky looks

Some of his favourite toys include his xylophone puppy, a rattle that looks like a lion trapped in a glass circle (!!), and any telephone, remote control or laptop

Hugo sitting cool to watch his favourite show, Hi-5

An impulsive and casual birthday party was held at our house on Saturday for Kristian

The day started slowly with lots and lots of eating... and ended with more eating and Jordan and the fam leaving at 10.30pm that night

Mum and Hugo. Mum was amazing and came over before work just to help me cook and clean

No wonder Hugo cries whenever he sees Kien

Our humble abode was rearranged to fit the 15-20 guests we had over to feast and celebrate

Kristian and the boys play with the Swiss Army knife Kien and Alicia bought him...

Two bloodnut Tims at the same party... what are the chances??

Desert included two trifles (why have one when you can have two??), a strawberry semifreddo cheesecake, a rich flourless chocolate cake and drum roll........ a mixed chocolate and vanilla custard profiterole birthday cake! There was a communal nap time after we'd all had thirds....zzzz. Two days later and Kristian and I are still eating trifle. Must. Finish. Sweets.

Family night was held last Saturday night and Andrew and I made stuffed capsicums (red peppers) with tomato, basil, ricotta and lemon zest and spinach and ricotta ravioli with a chilli cherry tomato sauce... delicioso!!

No matter his mood, Hugo smiles whenever he sees the camera (proof in itself that he's our child!)

Wake up Dad!

Sleeping is for the frail and feeble!

Get up Dad! Get up!!

First you try to grab the strawberry...

Then you mush it in every.single.place.you.can.

Then you eat it... YUM!

Hugo sits on the kitchen floor with a makeshift drum set designed to keep him busy, and in my sight while I cook

Bang! Bang! Bang!

This keeps him very occupied

Looking at his reflection is also fun
