Hugo

Hugo, originally uploaded by catherine online.

He's growing quickly. Way too fast.

So what's new with you?

It's silent and hot with the invasive heat only momentarily relieved by the hum of a white fan. I've been sitting on the couch, almost glued as I break up my day's work with random internet surfing.

This article in particular caught my attention.

"As far as we know they are still together."

That says it all for me.

So I've made a few changes to this blog and hope to write more about our lives instead of just posting photographs. But don't fear! A Flickr account has established to keep you all up to date on our latest pics so click on the icon to your right and enjoy!

Just another weekend

The past weekend was Kien and Alicia's wedding. It was a perfect and stunning occassion.

Being in the Whitsundays was both a treat and torchure as the jellyfish infested waters were totally uninhabitable. Yes, that means no swimming for fear of hospitalisation.

But it was impossible to complain, especially when surrounded with such beauty.

Note: sorry a few of the first images are out of order due to some frustrating weaknesses in the uploading system. The helicopter pic should come first, then the one of us in the buggy and then the first one that appears.

We spent an hour and drove all over the island - through the harbour...

After our cancelled/delayed flight, we were SO excited about a helicopter transfer to the island but unfortunately our helicopter had a major technical difficulties and we needed to wait for another one to come back to the airport

The helicopter company were very nice and loaned us a golf buggy to explore the island

Marina

Light shopping district (oops the shops were on the other side)

And the resort village (didn't include the MASSIVE high rise hotels in this shot as they just didn't seem to sit right)

My beautiful boys

We hooned to the highest point of Hamilton to take in our surrounding

The views were spectacu-lar

Buggy jam

Yay! A helicopter that works!"

"Red barron this is bald eagle. Over"

Our main room

Not bad

Hugo loves spending time with Kien, they spent hours in the pool together on our first day there

Sunset

Kien's brother Thai, with Kristian and a very grumpy Hugo

Our accommodation

View from the hammock

This was the view from our room. The beauty of the trip is that these waters are rife with extremely poisonous jellyfish this time of year, so we all felt like diabetics in the mother of all candy shops the entire time

More damn beach

Kristian talked Jordan and Milani into going kiaking in the jellyfish infested waters a couple hours before the wedding

All three of them managed to capsize their vessels, but all was not thankfully lost, except for Jordan's favourite sunglasses, which Kristian was in possession of at the time

Milani feeling very 'indiginous' on the beach

Let's hear it for the boys

Group shot before we left the comfort of air conditioning (yes, although I wasn't holding the camera, the shot was all about me me me... someone get me a blog!)

Soon the seats were set, the music primed and everyone waiting in sweet, sweaty anticipation

Aisle

Pretty paperwork

Backdrop

Nearly ready...

Here comes the bride

Hugo met and instantly became totally enamored with Isabella on the trip
