The family blog of Kristian, Catherine and Hugo

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I'd like to dismiss my absense by saying we've been busy but aren't we all these days?

Our time has been deliciously filled with lots of family, friends and new opportunities lately.

We've had my cousin Catherine (great name) and her daughter Kaitlyn visiting from Qatar for the past two weeks and they'll be with us for another two. We've been doing the typical Sydney sight-seeing and will hopefully visit a number of art galleries, the war memorial and some markets this week. We've had a heart-warming time so far and although I've enjoyed our time out, I think our major vege-out sessions at home have been even more delightful.

In other news, Hugo has just reached his eight month milestone and we celebrated with a trip to the doctor due to a cold and middle ear infection. Yay! We've had many fitful nights of sleep, but his antibiotics have kicked in and he's feeling a lot better now. But to counter this, two tiny teeth have cut through, which means he's now eating most of the solid foods we do. So far, he can't get enough of my homemade risotto and minestrone soup, the Chinese BBQ pork from one of our favourite local eateries and the occassional bit of ice cream he's treated to. Yum.

He's also reached a stage where he's extremely clingy and we commit a baby crime of the second-highest degree each time we leave the room. The highest degree is trying to wipe his snot-filled nose. This act renders cries of injustice that last until a worthy distraction is found - remote control, mobile phone, dance somebody, dance!

But if all of this wasn't enough, I've started my own Communications business. It's all very exciting! I have a number of small clients and am talking to a former colleague about teaming our efforts to catch some bigger fish. She also has a baby who's a day younger than Hugo so I think we can form an agreeable arrangement.

So that's it from our end. How are you all? Feel free to click on the comments below and leave a note or two, we'd love to hear from you....

And to wrap thinks up, here are some of our latest pics... Enjoy!
